If Saudi Arabia killed Khashoggi & we’re willing to say “That’s OK, we’ll keep the $110B arms deal anyway cuz a lot of jobs are involved,” then that means we’ve abdicated even the pretense that moral values matter more than economic profit. That’s blood money & we should say so.

It’s Trump. He’s all about the money. And he’s never read A Course in Miracles. By the way that book changed my life. Thank you!

I suppose when so many countries’ economies depend heavily on arms dealing, not only has there to be perpetual war somewhere to provide a constant market, but we turn a blind eye to wrongdoings by those who buy the arms. Shameful.

"We" have abdicated nothing of the sort. Trump and his #SwampThing administration are an aberration. #VoteThemOut2018 #VoteThemOut #pondscum

Trump has called the press the "enemy of the people." He didn't specify which people. MBS probably figured Trump would not care if he ordered the brutal murder of a journalist. We all already know how Trump feels about journalists. When someone shows you who they are ....

Understanding he doesn’t want to financially hurt those who are in the deal, he’s vowed punishment for it, if they are responsible, but that there are other kinds of punishment

Trump doesn’t care. There is some hope the Senate may draw the line on this one...but I’m not holding out much hope. #TheyJustDontCare

It was immoral to sell the weapons to them in the first case. Yes it is bad that they killed a US journalist while our intelligence watched and did nothing, but what do you think those weapons are for? Killing fields in Yemen.

A bit quick on this, no?

That’s ok. We only learn when they do it us... When it happens to us.
