America’s biggest problem is the disconnect between our policies and our values. And no that did not just start with Donald Trump. Rejecting him at the polls - although important - will not be enough to jumpstart our democracy. For that we have to become again who we say we are.

The biggest problem for me are the people I know and care about in my family and community who not only voted but continue to support Trump. What happen to their values and their care and concern for people who are suffering because of the policies of this President and the GOP

I agree with this, except I would say "become at last" instead of "become again".

Our values aren’t about economics at all; they’re about democracy and our deep humanity. Economics should align with our values and not the other way around. Capitalism now untethered to an ethical center; in need of appropriate accountability & transformation - not repudiation.
