Anger isn’t the best motivation for political activism because it’s like white sugar. It gives a short term high but that’s all. Better is the real nourishment of love for our country, love for our democracy, and commitment to save it for our children and our children’s children.

I’m angry that the country I love has been hijacked by those who do not respect the moral principles on which it was built. “Winning” and self service have taken over common decency.

And I understand what you mean about the anger being a flash in the pan so to speak. But this direction we’re headed is so dangerous. We need to get involved and stay involved.

Anger can be composted, we can be like the Amazon Jungle and turn the carbon emissions into oxygen. And yes, they will try and cut us down. So how do we protect ourselves from predators without becoming predators ourselves?

Thank you for saying this. Anger feels good “in the moment”, but it’s kind of like a hangover. Several hours later, you just feel lousy.

Nice sentiments. A lotof POC havenevr neenable to love our country. We have an oligarchy so thwre is no real democracy. Not sure it is worth saving. But i feel the spirit of your comment
Yet I think outrage in the face of injustice is absolutely justified. “You have turned my Father’s house into a den of thieves!” Matthew 21:12–13
