Anger isn’t the best motivation for political activism because it’s like white sugar. It gives a short term high but that’s all. Better is the real nourishment of love for our country, love for our democracy, and commitment to save it for our children and our children’s children.

I needed that tweet, because I have been feeling anger since Saturday. It seemed as if all of my activism and STAYING WOKE still to have evil prevail wasn’t a good place to be.
