People say we should understand a Senator voting for Kavanaugh even if he or she does not think he belongs on the Court, if it means risking their defeat in Nov. No, I do not understand. All of us have to make ethical decisions. Vote according to your conscience, not your polls.

Any Senator voting for Kavanaugh even if he makes you sick to your stomach I have a few a words, Country before party, Self before anything else. Make a decision with which you can live for the rest of your life.

Situational ethics aren't really ethical. If my ethics change based upon whether they're convenient or not in the moment, how is that ethical of me?

In New Age of Miracles, you talked about an entire generation that stuck its head in the sand over assassinations. It was true. It was profound. And it spoke to me. In the New Age of Trump, how do we resist the overwhelming urge to do it again?

Elected office should not be thought of as a career. It’s short-term public service—in service of the public, not your career.

Totally agree. If you vote for #Kavanaugh you are trivialising sexual assault, the right of women to speak out & lying under oath.
