To disagree with a person is not to “attack” them. To call out evil doesn’t mean you’re being “judgmental”. And to use spirituality as a justification for political complacency is not holy.

Thank you so, so, so very much for this. I am so sick of "spiritual white women" using their spirituality for complacency. Yoga's ahimsa is being used all wrong. And we MUST call out evil. It doesn't make us evil to call it out. You are the real deal.

Thank you! Gandhi saw ahimsa as the power behind the Indian Independence movement — not as a reason not to do it.

C’mon Marianne...You’re endorsing this woman calling out “white women”? Any other race being used here and it’s called racism, because that’s what it is. All of your teachings I’ve listened to would strongly contradict this behavior.
Ahimsa is a tough row to hoe! It encompasses even harmful thoughts, not just words and actions. You can't even mentally bash someone for the "greater good ".
