I am a federal employee. The federal bureaucracy is considered "deep state" to the Trumpites. We are his enemy, along with the media, Hollywood, Democrats and most Republicans. Why would he give a pay raise to his enemy?

Who do you think signs most of the paychecks for the middle and lower class? Those same upper class people that you want to punish will not hire and give raises if their profits are harshly taxed. Lower taxes=higher govt revenues too. Go look up the historical stats.
