When wealthy elite uses tax law to enrich itself, leeching billions from middle class & poor only to serve itself, it’s not just that it doesn’t want to share money; it’s that it doesn’t want to share power. Economic injustice is a way of strangling our democracy, & they know it.

I'm a child of 8 Yes we were very poor, today I have 6 degrees including my Doctorate and own several thriving businesses but im clear enough to recognize social, gender & economic injustice. IT IS REAL, STILL. Thanks for being amazing @marwilliamson

Yes, Marianne, don't you know that? One year during the Great Recession, I qualified for LIHEAP. I was just rolling in "benefits for the poor." The next year, I earned $19 over the cutoff & all my "poor benefits" disappeared because I was suddenly rich. Froze that winter. lmao
