No, Sen. Bunt & every other Republican covering for the President, the President’s attacks on the press – saying “they are the Enemy of the People”, “disgusting,” “sick” etc. - are not just “inappropriate.” They’re dangerous. An attack on the free press is an attack on all of us.

If it was a free press instead of activism dressed up like journalism, I would agree whole heartily with you. We are economy is doing this well, and people are more optimistic about their future, the President deserves some good press.

Even if it were activism dressed up like journalism – and sometimes, on both left and right, that is true – the Free Press is still a cornerstone of American democracy. You don’t get to call the press the “enemy of the people” just because you think it’s unfair to you.

You do though, if the presses intent is to bring down a Presidency, which our press has been since before he was sworn in, he does have that right. He has been called stupid, ignorant, racist, shameful, traitor, mentally unstable, xenophobic, bigot, the list goes on and on.
