Significantly contributing to the de-democratization of the US has been a failure to teach our youth what democracy even is. Only 8 states require civics education! If you don’t learn the Bill of Rights as a child, you don’t know to be apalled as an adult when it’s under attack.

Princeton did a study. Democracy does not exist now. Our government is of corporations for corporations, even Democrats and why Bernie never had a shot. For Princeton to come out and report this, it must be dire. And it is, we are under corporate rule. scholar.princeton.edu/sites/…

Democracy on life support but not dead yet. Our job is to save it. Cynicism an excuse for not helping. It didn't exist in the South either pre or post Civil War either, but people didn't just declare that true & that's the end of it! Not news we're in a hole; so pick up a shovel!
