When the administration says certain children are "ineligible" for return, 99% of the time that means we either don't know where the parents are anymore, or find it too inconvenient to make the reunification happen. Such a wicked use of language. I hope the judge won't buy it.

Or it means they arrived with someone who "claimed" to be their parent that can't prove it. Therefore it wouldn't be prudent to return them to someone who very well may be trafficking them. Also, parents who've disappeared to avoid immigration proceedings are an issue.

They have found through DNA test that a lot of the children who were brought to the U.S. illegally were not really the children of the adults who brought them. They probably brought the children along figuring it would get them a bunch of sympathy.

You don't know that. 20% of the time the adults accompanying the children are not parents or legal guardians. Much of the time, the adults voluntarily go home, leaving the children behind. This is way more complex than you are making it out to be.

I just read a report that even today they're still separating families and locking up their children. It hasn't stopped. Trying to find a second source on this, but if that's the case, the numbers will continue to climb as will the heartbreak and trauma.
