We could've taken %50 billion and use it to improve infrastructure. Things like road repairs and transit improvements nationally, health coverage, and lowering college tuitions.

Obama was right all along—we needed to cut the standing military and put that money to use for cyber and drone security/military measures! Trump & GOP merely use heavy U.S. Military beefed-up budget as grandstanding to appeal to GOP base

Well said. It’s a shame we live in a world where war still happens, but if it must, we should be prepared for the right kind of war.
