If I had a magic wand, I would make every American citizen watch an hour-long documentary about Germany in the 1930’s &1940’s.

I think there would be many Americans who’d watch such a documentary and proclaim “Fake News!” We are indeed in dangerous times, but hopefully, one day, light can overcome darkness. Please let it be soon. Love from Across the Pond 💜

Good idea - but please let them also watch a documentary about East Germany after the War. Or "The Lives of Others" would do.

Culminating in the readily available film of Berlin in 1945, showing the city TOTALLY destroyed. Fascism will ALWAYS lose, how much destruction and death the fight causes is up to our level of resistance to it now.

Can you post the link to it?

And I would have every person learn how people lived after the depression when greed and speed was the rule and after grace and pace rebuilt this country!

Why not one about the Ukraine or the Soviet Union?

Those who are in the greatest need to watch it, won't get it. Same with Malaysia; the mindset will revert to 'We're different, God is on OUR side'

Do you have a good recommendation?

1st thought here: Hitler's rise incrementally in Germany had not 1 smoking gun at first by Reich's drip drip drip til 6 million Jews, gypsy people & Catholics were piled in heaps in fields & streets. I cannot sit here in rage & grief. Action/Protest is a collective imperative.
