If I had a magic wand, I would make every American citizen watch an hour-long documentary about Germany in the 1930’s &1940’s.

Personally I'd invite everyone to watch and learn about the Weimar Republic (1918 to 1933) and WHY/HOW Germany became Nazi Germany.

I think it is the opposite of tasteless! I was in Austria two weeks ago, and visited the Mahausen concentration camp. The way we honor the victims, and prevent their horror from happening again, is by educating ourselves about how such things happened...and could happen again.
