If my child had been taken from me & I had not known where she was, my hysteria would have been without limits. I stand with any mother now going through such a heinous violation of her human rights. And the woman's "crime?"She travelled with her child in search of a better life

Alex, What nation do you own or rule? What "American Values" do you speak of? Please define?
Barb, what exactly are you defending!? Holy hell... please think about your arguements more instead of spouting Republican talking points. Please, use your critical thinking and empathy more. Put yourself in their shoes. These are human beings. Children!!!

A) US has been closing “proper ports of entry” to asylum seekers, forcing them to other crossings. B) I, and others, would gladly sponsor a family (but of course the tax breaks for the 1% would easily cover this). C) the families are fleeing in order TO protect their children.

If you were sesrching for a better life would you not search ALL thgs pertaining to that and KNOW your child could be removed...or would you wander aimlessly, paying no attention to what was happening? You’d KNOW & not go... there’s the difference!!
My only point is don’t claim they are seeking legal asylum when they aren’t seeking it legally

Some of these kids are raped along the way and we shouldn’t be encouraging people to use these coyotes.

No one is advocating for stealing people’s children. Don’t forget a majority of them are coming without parents. What is your answer for those children?

Even the poster child who was said to have been separated from her mother on time magazine was debunked. They were not separated. So as it was originally asked by Lara what is the truth? And Marianne had no real answer...maybe just her agenda
