Famous incident during Holocaust: Red Cross went to check how people were being treated. Nazis took great effort to make it look like a concentration camp was day at the beach. Not comparing this to something that horrible, but Melania shouldn’t think she’s seeing the whole story

What do you think, Marianne?...are you suggesting that they are being tortured and starving....maybe in shackles?....you must know something we don't......and where did you ever live where this all happened?.....In the USA?......

I’m NOT criticizing the caregivers. I have no doubt that there are people in those jobs, including border agents, doing their very best. But more is going on in this situation than is obvious at certain facilities. And at the end of the day, forced detainment is forced detainment

Don't make excuses for comparing this to the Holocaust. It is that horrible. Minus the gas chambers, not much is different. They took the teddy bears and the wedding rings. they drugged the children and put adults in prison jumpsuits and shackles-for a misdemeanor. It's bad.

It is that horrible. They are not letting the press in to see the conditions these kids have been living in. A mayor was turned down to look at facilities in his own city! Where are the girls? Toddlers? Babies!??

The parallels to 1940s horrors are too chilling, for anyone aware of, or student of that time /place. The constant lies, calls & whistles to darkness & separation, rather than inclusion, peace, & understanding are deafening... & only 1 yr in? The lies ongoing - th actions r evil.

Exactly. Wish I could believe this is more than a rescue effort for her husband.
