Trump retreated on child separation issue because this time Repub lawmakers stood up to him, & Repub lawmakers stood up because they heard from their constituents. Don’t doubt the force of public pressure that was exhibited here. We can’t let up on any such issue going forward.

That’s an interesting look, too bad it has no basis in reality. Federal and state laws in the United States mandate the protection of children from their criminal parents and has for some time. Crossing into the United States is a felony, the parents are just making bad choices
