Trump retreated on child separation issue because this time Repub lawmakers stood up to him, & Repub lawmakers stood up because they heard from their constituents. Don’t doubt the force of public pressure that was exhibited here. We can’t let up on any such issue going forward.

I hope the Republicans are realizing Trump could care less about the party and they need to start looking out for their own necks. The GOP rightly or wrongly will take the brunt of his policies in the fall.
