My mother's father came to America alone when he was 13 yrs old, sold bananas on lower East side of NYC 'til he made enough money to go back to Russia & get his next younger brother, then repeated that 7 times til every sibling & their mother was brought over. THAT is who we are

That IS who we are -- #epluribusunum 🇺🇸 We are better for it too. Their argument for a homogeneous America is wrong, inaccurate, ill, & its been dealt with through our history. Glad he sold his bananas! Mine also sold supplies to restaurants & bars also in NYC. I💙NY 🗽

My father’s father also immigrated from Russia when he was your grandfather’s age. Escaping pogroms
