He needs the wall to satisfy his base; they instituted this policy with the children so the Democrats would cave on the wall and pass a bill that gives it to him. The main architect of the policy is Stephen Miller. The consequence is untold trauma. The mendacity is stunning.

Reprehensible. The entire world is watching, to #gop detriment. U.N. has already condemned. #VoteThemOut2018 #NotOurCountry

This "brilliant" move by Trump will bite the Republicans in the a** November 6. At the margin, the country will benefit (even more elected Democrats). But my God, at what cost to children and families!

So manipulative and cruel. As if america doesn’t have enough trauma and broken families as is. Disgusting.

STOP USING KIDS AS PAWNS IN YOUR ASSAULT ON OUR SOVEREIGNTY!! People who want to stay with their kids don’t commit crimes that risk separating them!

That is one factor. But there is one other incredibly disturbing factor that needs to be exposed. Trump and Pence both stand to gain monies for their campaign war chests by two big private prison contractors

Very True. He needs the wall to satisfy the 65 million Americans who believe that prot citing our borders and enforcing existing immigration laws is important to them.

Bill Clinton passed a law in 1996 that separated children from adults illegally entering America. All cheered. Obama enforced this same law throughout his entire presidency-caging children like animals & crowd was silent. Trump enforces law-selective outrage=hypocritical!
