The reason these issues persist is that 99% of white America is either delusional abt what America actually is or they are blantantly racist. I will put you in the delusional category. Meanwhile Black and Brown people continue to suffocate. That was true in in 1776& its true now

Women are used to being told we’re crazy to think what we think. In fact that’s a form of oppression too; patriarchy & all of that. But it’s important to keep it all in perspective: People are good, we’re all doing our best & it’s possible to rise above. Love is all that counts.

You don't get to be a victim. White women aren't being brutalized, killed, mass incarcerated by the criminal injustice system. When white men were routinely raping blk women, white women were silent. When blk men were lynched in the audience of thousands, white women participated

Your being a victim - and in all the ways you mention, I agree that you were and are - doesn’t mean that no one else has been. That applies to groups of people as well as to individuals. And no one has a monopoly on suffering.

I named three victimized groups--Native Americans, Black women, Black men. White women have, by and large, maintained the status quo of white supremacy. And, in so long as you chose to be delusional about what America is, you will remain complicit.

Respectfully, one of my favorite things about @marwilliamson is she champions an attitude of #NotOnMyWatch. Spiritual innovation means treating everyone’s children with the same care & tenderness as our own. She ran for Congress to put those ideas into practice.

Please don’t be so locked into condemning white women & the nation that you choose not to find the common ground. @marwilliamson is one working mightily to help America acknowledge, heal & redeem these hurts.
