Every day create something beautiful: a moment, a note to someone, an array of books or flowers on your desk. In time it will become a habit & one day you’ll be grateful that you’re living such a beautiful life. Someone will ask how you got such a life & you’ll say “I practiced.”

My current therapy is art. This is in progress. I draw in public and it inspires others.

I was just thinking about this earlier. We have all become so serious in these dark days. Maybe we feel guilty when we are happy when so many are suffering. But it won’t help anyone to deny ourselves the beauty in the world. Thanks for the reminder. 💗

For my birthday a few weeks ago, I asked all my friends to honor it by doing something kind that day. Smiling at a stranger, holding open a door. Something small. I was amazed at how many did it and how many said it made them happier. Be kind to each other, friends.

What similar practice can we use to override all the suffering we are bearing witness to? Meditation and prayer are feeling more and more like mist instead of energy.
