@marwilliamson In light of the horror you are experiencing in America,sharing some good news that a grass roots women’s movement here in Ireland has just repealed our 8th Constitutional Amendment.As an American immigrant,my vote just helped change the law.

It was beyond exciting to watch real democracy express itself in Ireland yesterday. It was mixed of course with sadness for the thousands if not millions of women in your history who suffered because of draconian law. May all such suffering now cease.

I sat at home alone in silence for the eve while my girls were at sleepovers. The emotion of having been one of those women on a plane to England 19 yrs ago and the relief for the hundreds who had come to me for help to heal from the same, was undeniably overwhelming.
