Here is an article I wrote in 2021, showing that my speaking up about Israel and Palestine began way before October 7. newsweek.com/israel-palestin…

When you’re running for President, it becomes unclear who is smearing you for what ultimate purpose. The misrepresentation of my views regarding Israel and Palestine are particularly egregious, as I have made repeated videos and statements about the issue since October 7 - one clip out of context (“siege and blockade” in Gaza rather than the word “occupation” as in the West Bank does not change that. 🧵

That clip was taken out of context, and I did NOT say Israel was not an occupying force in Palestine. I was referring to Gaza as opposed to the West Bank. Israel had left in 2005; the occupying issue there is usually referred to in terms of the siege and the blockade, which I have condemned for years. I also corrected my language within an hour. For whatever reason, @normfinkelstein has made faux outrage at me a part of his brand this year. And be very clear. We are talking brand protection here, not genuine progressive values.

Not “everything” is a gender issue. But some things are. And working class leftism should include concern for working class women, who are more affected by the misogynistic attitudes in this country than are anyone.

Anyone who wants to help the people of Gaza by giving a message to Joe Biden - something I think is a very good idea, by the way - would most powerfully do so by voting for the candidate who has called for a ceasefire from the very beginning.

The Republican party basically disregards how much people are economically suffering, using social issues to cover for the fact that they basically don’t give a damn. Corporatist Democrats acknowledge the economic suffering but pretend they’re doing a whole lot more than they’re actually doing to reduce it. Our campaign is for those who see a majority of Americans burdened by invisible economic hardship, and want to vote for someone whose primary goal is to smash the machine that produces it. Deep respect for a woman who has turned her mother’s grief into inspiration for so many.
Tort’s mom, beloved Belkis Teran, speaks to a gathering of Tort’s friends and family in Atlanta. We’re celebrating their life, not their death, Belkis reminds us.

Biden has given more oil drilling permits even than Trump did. Under a Williamson administration we will be ramping down, not ramping up, fossil fuel extraction. #Marianne2024

Wow @AndrewYang! The days of a woman stepping aside on the assumption that a man can do a better job are over. Deeply disappointed in you guys. And the answer is no.
Andrew Yang asks his “dear friend” @marwilliamson to drop out and join him + Dean Phillips “Dean is our best chance….”

The War on Drugs has completely failed to alleviate the problem it supposedly set out to solve. It has only created more problems, fueling mass incarceration and violence at home and abroad. We have spent $1 trillion and continue to spend $100 billion annually on the failed drug war, and over half of our incarcerated population is in prison because of drug-related charges. Time to end it. marianne2024.com/issues/drug…

This is a PRIMARY so there is no logic to your statement. And if we really want to beat Trump we should consider what candidate could actually do it.

There is something about the Democratic establishment trying to push down our throats the idea that Joe Biden is our best bet to beat the Republicans in 2024 - with an unpopular VP at his side, no less - that’s unbelievably ridiculous.
