We sent the letter below to the executive staff at the Florida Democratic Party today. Although the DNC won in court when they claimed after the 2016 election that they were a private entity and therefore didn't owe the public a fair democratic selection process during the primaries, the legal argument here is that since they are playing what is in essence a governmental role in this process, they do owe it to the public to align with the Constitutional principles regarding qualifications to run for President. The story will continue to develop. The FDP did all this at the last minute, changing rules to fit their will, making it extremely difficult for other campaigns to even know what to do. It goes without saying that if you can't get on the ballot in a state as big as Florida, your chances to proceed are deeply impacted.

If you’re a registered Democrat in Florida, by all means write to the Democratic Party there!

One of the things that shocks me (and there are so many at this point) is how many environmental organizations have chosen to endorse a President who has given more oil drilling permits then even Trump did, plus approved the Willow project. Ah, the lure of that phone call returned by someone at the White House! It’s the one who was assigned to schmooze you that day, to tell you things like “You know we agree with you about all of that!” when they know damn well that the administration will be doing the opposite. The organizations’ argument, of course is, “But who else do we have?” So basically they’re in on the fix. @LCVoters @nextgenpaction @NRDC_Action @SierraClub

This is a PRIMARY. I submit that a vote for Biden is the vote for Trump! In any case, it’s the Democratic voters who should decide - not a handful of party operatives. That is what a primary is for.

Well you won’t believe what Florida is doing now… You have to jump through a lot of hoops to get on the ballot in states across the country, but Florida takes the cake: they won’t even let you try! The FL Sec. of State has decided to simply allow the Florida Democratic Party to DECIDE who it wants to be on the ballot! The Democratic Party said, “We only want Joe Biden, please.” This absurd and unconstitutional display is exactly how an authoritarian state works: People are told they can vote, but are informed by someone else who their options will be. The words of my father keep ringing in my ear: “Beat the system, kids, beat the system!” More to come…

He is absolutely right.
If we are going to deploy our young men and women in uniform to Syria to fight and potentially give their life for some supposed cause, shouldn’t we as their elected representatives at least debate the merits of sending them there? responsiblestatecraft.org/pu…

Someone who knows nothing about books or book publishing - or me, for that matter - created a ridiculous narrative and people ran with it like it's gospel truth.
