No, actually. A book tour is a book tour. That is how you sell books; you go on a book tour, not a campaign trail. Sorry you were so bamboozled.

There’s a reason why Americans do not have certain things the citizens of other advanced democracies have. Many don’t want to discuss it, but I will. #Marianne2024

The way to sell books is to go on a book tour, and a book tour is nothing like a presidential campaign.

From our health to our access to education to our ability to make a decent living to communities to our energy to our air and food and water quality to the state of the planet to foreign affairs, in the words of FDR, “It is time for the country to become fairly radical for a generation.”

The changes necessary in order to save our democracy and our planet from catastrophic decline are so at odds with official insistence that corporate profits always be our bottom line, that it will take a revolution in consciousness - and at the ballot box - to break the codependent cord that keeps us bound to deadly corporate tyranny.

Absolutely not so simple. The Geneva Convention and international law say otherwise

The greatest tragedy in human history would be our willfully ignoring the realities of this moment.
We are broken. As a society, as a people, as a species bringing our very home to the precipice of collapse, we are broken. We have the resources - natural and technological - to thrive. Yet we squander it all. 🧵 (1/14)

I agree with you 100%, Senator. And with the deepest respect, your endorsement of President Biden is out of alignment with what you say here. The President has given more old-drilling permits than even Trump did, and has approved the Willow project as well as the exportation of liquefied natural gas. We need a president who does exactly what you say in this video, and it is not he.

Cluster bombs should never be deployed. They violate any humane standards of war.
Cluster munitions are illegal under international law. They scatter multiple (often unexploded) bombs over a wide area. Innocent people are still being killed by them in Vietnam 50 years after the war. This is why I am coleading an amendment with @SaraJacobsCA to block their sale.
