We’re on the ballot whether the party chooses to “recognize” me or not. This is so ridiculous. I feel like I’m in junior high school and the cool kids don’t want me at the make out party. michigan.gov/sos/-/media/Pro…
Do you mean that as in the Democratic primary, or do you mean that as a third party candidate? If you’re talking about the primary, please explain. Eighth grade civics class would argue differently.
Yes!
“I would rather trust the aggregate judgment of all the people in a factory... [than that] of the few who may have financial control at the time.” - President Franklin D. Roosevelt 1940
BREAKING: @UAW members at Stellantis have voted to approve the new contract negotiated by their union, making the historic deal with record raises and numerous big wins official.
68.4% of the workers voted YES.
To the contrary, the majority of Republicans as well as Democrats want universal healthcare. And the majority of Republicans as well as Democrats want tuition free colleges and tech school .
This will be a very different race. People stood in line for seven hours because they were promised things that were then not delivered to them - a raised minimum wage, codified voting rights, police reform etc.
Too many who gave Biden his win are among those who have given up at this point. The electoral danger is that this time they will stay home (or vote third party).
The only way to defeat Donald Trump in 2024 is with a radically humanitarian agenda: universal healthcare, tuition free college and tech school, childcare & paid family leave, guaranteed living wage, a vision of peace, and the declaration of a climate emergency to save the planet for future generations.
Why? Because those things provide a better life for people. They inspire a way for the future to be better. They give a voter something to vote FOR.
If the Democratic Party refuses to match Donald Trump’s mendacity with an equal level of human compassion for what people are going through, it will not defeat him. It will pave for the way for his return.
It’s not simply that I’m right about “what needs to be accomplished for a just society.” I’m right about what needs to be said in order to beat Trump! No stop, do not pass go, do not collect $200.
That message - moderate in any other advanced democracy - is considered wildly outside the box in Democratic Presidential politics. The Democratic elite would actually see Trump return to the White House than allow anyone not in their club get a fair shot at the nomination. 3/4
We need to stand for universal health care, cancelling the college loan debt, tuition free college and tech school, subsidized child care, paid family leave, a guaranteed living wage, waging peace, and ending the Drug War. 2/4
The Democrats need more than new messaging, or a new story, or even a new face. We need a new agenda. We need to return to the traditional principles of unequivocal advocacy for the working people of the United States. 1/4
.@deanbphillips we agreed you wouldn’t keep repeating the false narrative that “no one else has jumped into the race.”
@kaitlancollins there is indeed someone else in the race, polling much higher than Phillips and happy to come on to your show.
80% of Americans right now want neither of the leading candidates. The disconnect between Washington's political industrial complex and the American voters is graphic.
Thank you @kaitlancollins.
Tennessee’s Department of Child Services documents show one juvenile detention center left kids locked up alone for hours — sometimes even days — at a time, in violation of standards and laws regarding seclusion.
