This Texas House bill will create rampant fear and desperation among people who do not deserve this treatment.
People who left their homes due to the most traumatic circumstances then come to a place where they’re traumatized further by the government of the country they fled to.
The government of Texas is perpetrating collective and unconstitutional abuse on a vulnerable population. I hope their mean-spiritedness will be struck down in Court.

The politics of the 20th century is transactional, treating symptoms but rarely looking at root causes. It monitors data but doesn’t register despair.
20th century thinking will not solve the problems of the 21st.
We need a transformational whole person politics that addresses problems on the level of root cause - and bases its success on the number of people who thrive.
