Makes all the sense in the world. Billionaires do what billionaires do.
Last year, Biden-skeptic and OpenAI C.E.O. Sam Altman convened a series of private groups to find a viable Democratic alternative. Now, @teddyschleifer is hearing that he might have found his candidate in Dean Phillips.

Don’t buy it, guys. Unionbusting is unionbusting.
Scoop @BW: REI has told workers unionizing hurts its "vibe" and would "put what you have at risk," & that union has "red flags" like not spending much on “social impact.” REI talking points say it’ll “ensure” no one has a better experience because of union bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

This is an important thread. Long Covid is affecting more people than we are currently acknowledging; more help and resources should be made available for its sufferers.
New York Times: "There are more Americans who say they have serious cognitive problems than at any time in the last 15 years, data from the Census Bureau shows. Researchers point to long Covid as a major cause." You can ignore COVID, but COVID will not ignore you.

Absolutely it’s on the wrong track. It leads away from justice, away from compassion, away from opportunity for almost anyone except for a very few.
78% of Americans say the economy is on the wrong track, per Fannie Mae.

The bombing needs to end. The suffering needs to stop. Even if Israel destroys all the tunnels, Netanyahu’s policy only creates more Hamas. We need a #ceasefire, a return of the hostages, and a brokered two-state solution.

With all due respect Senator, it’s also sad when progressive legislators who know better have endorsed a President whose efforts on behalf of the working people of the United States have been lukewarm at best.

I have had a lot of experience, including more business acumen than a lot of the people running. I’d argue that the experience I’ve had is more needed to help us survive right now then is that of someone whose only real experience is maintaining and perpetuating a system that has led us to six inches from the cliff.

.@amazonlabor Many European countries are worker led. Whether or not ours is worker led, American workers should absolutely be on equal footing with the corporate overlords they work for. For over 40 years, union busting has been enabled and unions have been in various ways squashed and diminished in power. That's beginning to change now, as everything from Amazon, to @UAW to writers and actors arising up in a reinvigorated chapter of American labor. It's important for all of us to recognize that this is an issue central to American democracy. It has to do with whether or not there is economic justice and fair opportunity shown to the average American. This is not just about labor unions specifically; it's about what kind of country we want to live in. @Shut_downAmazon

You’re right, @ShawnFainUAW; they should, but they won’t. If they were going to they would have done so already. It’s time to go past trying to influence them to trying to replace them. #Marianne2024 #EconomicBillofRights
"United Auto Workers President Shawn Fain called Tuesday for Congress to "step up" for the working class and for the fight for "economic justice" to happen in "the streets," characterizing a failure to achieve the goal as a "national security risk." detroitnews.com/story/busine…

Unqualified to do what exactly? According to the Constitution, the President had to have been born here, lived here for 14 years, and be 35 years or older. They did not say the person had to have been a Congressman, Governor, Senator etc. They were leaving it to every generation to determine for itself what skill set they feel is most required to lead the country through a particular time. We don’t need another political car mechanic: the problem is we’re on the wrong road. We don’t need another technocrat, we need a visionary. I’m not saying I’m the greatest visionary in America, but I am the only one running for the Democratic nomination for President.

It’s official: the New Hampshire primary will take place January 23! I will proudly participate. I look forward to spending the next couple of months making sure Granite Staters know they have an option to the corporate-driven trickle down economic trajectory that keeps the majority of Americans in limitation and despair.
All in the details: @NHSecretary will announce the date of the #FITN primary in the State House Hall of Flags, a Civil War Memorial. Directly behind the podium are the battle flags of the NH 4th regiment, which fought to save the Union in… South Carolina #FITN #NHPolitics #WMUR

I agree… But the answer is not to replace Biden with a younger shinier version of the same policies. The answer is to replace him with someone who represents a fundamental change in political perspective and agenda. Otherwise, nothing really changes.
Joe Biden was the right candidate for 2020 - but I don’t think he is for 2024.
