When the Covid emergency officially ends this week, 15 million people will be thrown off Medicaid and 30 million will lose SNAP benefits.
I'm willing to bet that most of the people making excuses for all those "qualified" people who decided to end the emergency 1) have decent healthcare, 2) are not hungry, and 3) have never had a hunger child.

I don’t think you know too much about the Democratic Party 50 or 60 years ago, and I do. Believe me, it was not made up of a majority of corporate Democrats. Corporate Democrats today are what Republicans were like when I was growing up.
Nice people, yes, but in a democracy we get to disagree.

I certainly do not apologize for the “unique cruelty” of the GOP and I do not agree with your line about “most of them…at this point.” I’m running to offer a more winning alternative to the GOP than the agenda of corporate Democrats. It’s called an election… and the people are supposed to decide.

Franklin Roosevelt said we wouldn’t have to worry about a fascist takeover “as long as democracy delivered on it blessings.”
My “talking points” are that democracy should deliver on its blessings.
Offering people anything *less* than that is what helps the fascists.

Too many in Washington are emotionally buffered from the ravages of human despair, consistently passing legislation that makes it easier for those who already have to get more, and harder for those who do not have to even survive…
Let’s change that.
