We’ve been working hard on our economic demands. We’re fighting for a $20 an hour starting wage nationwide, a 37-hour week guarantee for full-time workers, a 100% employer-covered health-care plan for workers, credit card tipping for all stores and MORE! washingtonpost.com/business/…

The citizens of the United States should have the same economic opportunities provided the citizens of every other advanced democracy. We need to do more than just help people survive an unjust system; we need to disrupt the unjust system. thegrio.com/2023/03/23/2024-…

I’m also aware that Roosevelt turned back boats with Jews trying to escape Hitler that should not have been turned back. And more. There were quite a few things he did that we would criticize today. But life isn’t simple. We need to look at historical figures in the context of the entirety of their contribution. And his was huge.

Democratic elites (DINOs) act as though progressives are trying to hijack the Democratic Party…but the opposite is true. *They* highjacked the party. The progressive vision is unequivoical advocacy for the working people of the United States - the traditional Rooseveltian vision of the Democratic Party. Some would consider Franklin Roosevelt too much of a lefty radical to even be let into the party today! So when a Democratic elite says to a progressive, “Who let you in?” - just say to them, “Who let YOU in?!”

We're living in that moment when we're no longer in denial about a problem so much as paralyzed with fear and confusion regarding what to do about it. Allowing ourselves to really take in the depth of the problem will lead to the discovery of deeper solutions. First you cry, and then you rise. This article spells it out the conundrum of this moment so beautifully... poorpeoplescampaign.org/we-c…

People suffer and die in this country every day for no other reason than so pharmaceutical companies can get richer. “The American public is financing pharmaceutical research and development, and then being rewarded for that investment with the world’s highest prices for medicine, all while drugmakers report ever-higher profit margins.” The five largest drug companies in the United States made $80 billion in profit last year alone. levernews.com/biden-and-bece…
