Stand with Labor like never before. Every working American deserves and should have a livable wage. We need a 21st century Economic Bill of Rights to make it so.
Nearly 30,000 special ed assistants, bus drivers, food service workers, & custodians at @LASchools are fighting for a fair contract! For many of these workers, all of whom care for #LAUSD students, their salaries are near $25k/yr—below the poverty level. seiu.co/3lekqJj

Marianne Williamson is the most charismatic woman to ever run for president and the first since Jimmy Carter to convincingly believe in God. She's going to make Biden sweat. My latest from @PirateWires 🧵 piratewires.com/p/marianne-w…

"I actually think her book A Politics of Love is excellent—it pushes the Bernie Sanders agenda, but makes an explicitly moral and emotional case for it, explaining why we shouldn’t scoff at words like love and compassion and instead should make them foundational to our politics." -@NathanJRobinson currentaffairs.org/2023/03/m…

If I was person you think I am, and if my career in any way reflected your mischaracterization, then I would understand your contempt. Perhaps even agree with it! I am not that person, however. Regarding politics, this is a democracy and we do not all have to agree. I do not disrespect the president. I do feel, however, that incremental approaches to our economic problems are neither the winning ticket in 2024 nor the fundamental reform that is needed in our country. And the voters should decide. This can and should be an honorable debate.

Asking for a friend: What are they doing and what are they getting done? Universal healthcare? Higher minimum wage? Tuition free college? Paid family leave? Free child care? Climate change action? The problem isn't that we lack political car mechanics. The problem is that the car is on the wrong road. What they "get done" is the agenda that serves our corporate overlords, time and time and time again. See: Willow project.

If police warn people to move 5 or even 10 times and that person refuses, the police have a right to forcibly remove them. It does not, however, give police the right to shoot that person while they are sitting there with their hands up in the air. That does not constitute a “sad accident.”

I am proud to be endorsed by New Hampshire State Representative Maria Perez. As one of three Latino representatives in the New Hampshire legislature, Representative Perez is a prominent voice for issues facing rural communities, and a staunch fighter for healthcare and better wages for workers. I am pleased our campaign is gathering endorsements so early in the 2024 primary. Bold and courageous leaders understand that America needs to disrupt the status quo that keeps our people without quality healthcare and with stagnate wages. Read More: marianne2024.com/marianne-wi…

Make noise about this. Make a lotta noise.
DISASTER: President Biden today approved the Willow oil project in Alaska on the largest tract of pristine land in the US. This will create catastrophic pollution for decades just as the planet reaches the tipping point. Willow will have deadly results. theguardian.com/us-news/2023…
