Authoritarianism is posing as progress.
This country is walking backwards.
A new Iowa bill would roll back child labor laws, allowing 14 to 17-year-olds to work in mining, meatpacking, demolition, operating guillotine shears, and other dangerous jobs. Under the business-backed bill, employers wouldn't be civilly liable if kids are injured or killed.

GOP House proposed an "anti-socialism" resolution.
Totally ridiculous, but also dangerous because they'll use it as a basis to go after Medicare and Social Security.
The worst part is that 109 Democrats - including leader Hakeem Jeffries - voted yes!

If Lincoln had lost his re-election - which was “won peacefully at the ballot box” - McClellan would’ve made peace with the South and allowed them to keep slavery. I could go on.
But the point -which you knew I meant - was never that the ballot box was the only needed measure.
