NEW: Amazon blatantly violated the rights of the lead organizer at its warehouse in Albany, NY. Managers put her on a final warning on the same day that the NLRB signaled a union vote was imminent. She was denied representation during the disciplinary meeting, audio shows.

Due to recent flooding the water in Jackson Mississippi is unsafe to drink. For a sense of what the planet is headed for in the absence of emergency level climate mitigation, imagine that occurring in 100 cities in America all at the same time. mississippifreepress.org/267…

We all need to listen to this. Very profound.
"It seems like we're hated. We're good people, we're just poor. We're not bad people just because we're poor but we get treated that way. I don't understand what happened to America," -Mondella Brown tells @JordanChariton on their uninhabitable living conditions in West Virginia

I did not in any way, shape or form call for violence. Nor did JFK.

No one in this tweet threatened violence.

My book “Healing the Soul of America” was published in 1998. Read it, then get back to me and tell me whether I have consistently advocated for any particular policy. Or does only Twitter count?

“If they give it to the poor they call it a handout; if they give it to the rich they call it a subsidy.” - Martin Luther King Jr.
Why is it only a “handout” when people are in need? When we give the rich a $1,900,000,000,000 tax cut, did anyone call it a handout? When the House passed an $840,000,000,000 military budget, did anyone call it a handout? But canceling student debt is a handout? What a joke.

We need to become as committed to the repeal of Citizens United as some were committed for years to the repeal of Roe v. Wade.

These are revolutionary times. Anyone trying to stave that off with incremental changes will find their efforts ultimately unsuccessful. “Those who make peaceful revolution impossible make violent revolution inevitable.” - President John F. Kennedy

As I brought up environmental injustice, healthcare as sickness care, US policy in Latin America & Trump harnessing hatred & bigotry for political purposes. Then in a couple of admittedly nervous moments I made dumb comments about love. I still prefer that to neoliberal drivel.

On the day that picture was taken they didn't have an inkling such horror awaited them. May their souls be at rest and their memory be a blessing.

Dangerous to the journalistic legitimacy of people like you, I guess. Not an anti-vaxxer and never was.

I have 14 books out there; maybe read one & tell me what’s “problematical?” One sentence taken out of context, particularly when it’s something both Buddha and Einstein agree with, is only considered “problematical” to those allowing themselves to be swayed by bs on the Internet

This is a big deal. “Forever chemicals” kill people. We have to resist in every way possible how SCOTUS and others on the far right try to demonize environmental regulations.
Two of the most notorious “forever chemicals” are being targeted for regulation under federal Superfund law — a major move that will have sweeping implications for industry as well as affected communities across the country. eenews.net/articles/epa-expa…
