#UMWA miners are still on strike in AL against Warrior Met, which is invested in by Wall Street Hedge Funds. They’ve been on strike for 509 days. They’ve been hit by trucks of management & scabs on picket lines, the Gov of AL has the state troopers escorting scabs to the mine.

Giving voters what they need and want is not buying their votes. It's doing what government is supposed to do. Banks, Big Pharma, Big Ag, Big Oil, Ins Companies, Defense contractors - those are the ones who with their huge donations "buy votes."

If anyone is demonstration of a wasted education it’s you, Senator. Were there no ethics classes at Harvard?
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) says there’s a “real risk” Biden forgiving some student loan debt will help Democrats in the 2022 midterms: “If you are that slacker barista who wasted seven years in college … if you can get off the bong for a minute … it could drive up turnout.”

God is Love, and yes, we do need love to get through life decently. Individually and collectively. That was my point.

The undue influence of money on our system comes primarily from the Citizens United SCOTUS decision. With different members of the court that would’ve been a different decision. If there had been different presidents that would’ve been different members of the court.

I don’t agree with that first part. Love leads to the *right use* of power. Look at parenting, for example. Good parenting is the ultimate expression of love combined with an appropriate exercise of power.

That is not human nature. It is a perversion of human nature. God created us to love one another. By organizing our societies to do otherwise we are acting against our God-given nature.

The only thing that will keep this country from an ultimate descent into societal madness is a massive change of heart.3/3

From refusing to tax the very richest to corporate subsidies to absurd military budget, our biggest problem isn’t economic but moral: a willingness to see massive human suffering as an acceptable result of our economy’s driving impulse to give more to those who already have. 2/3
