I agree with him.
.⁦@jazlikescheese⁩ lost her little sister in Uvalde. She flew in with her father and mom yesterday because we had the vote secured for an assault weapons ban. Then house Dems shelved the vote. We have the votes for the assault weapons ban. Pass it.

It didn’t have to be this way. We spent $2T and failed spectacularly. foreignpolicy.com/2022/07/28…

One top-line thing the new climate policy strongly suggests: If we spent even half of what we spend on the military, and avoided adding in concessions to the fossil fuel industry, we could eliminate most US climate emissions in a matter of years, not decades.

You tell ‘em Jon.
“If this is America First, then America is fucked.” Take 10 minutes to watch Jon Stewart tear into Republicans for blocking a Senate bill providing benefits to veterans, including for those exposed to burn pits.

🚨🚨🚨BREAKING: 48 hours after 5 fellow Hill staffers and I were arrested for peacefully demanding climate negotiations reopen in the Senate, THEY ARE OPEN AGAIN! We don’t have more details yet, but this was our first demand 🥳

I have a lot of pride in my country. The fact that insurance companies and big pharmaceutical companies block universal health care, however, is a point of shame.

Schumer touting this bill as something we should be excited about is pathetic. He should be naming names & taking no prisoners, expressing outrage felt by millions that our govt could do no better than get such tiny concessions from the cold & greedy fingers of Big Pharma. 3/3

Nothing like that exists here; we’ve been trained to expect crumbs. “Of, by and for the people” has been supplanted by 'of, by and for the corporations,' in this case Big Pharma. Thousand suffer and die each year so a soulless, perverted form of capitalism might live 2/3

I was speaking to a man in Australia whose father is kept alive due to a pill that costs $30,000. I repeat that, $30,000. The medicine is entirely paid for by Australia’s universal healthcare system, for no other reason than that he is a citizen.1/3

1) He was not a socialist. 2) His interning the Japanese was a great historical error absolutely 3) He did not prolong the depression; he helped end it and helped people survive it 4) His threat to pack the court was a good move 5) Read “No Ordinary Time” for correct information.

I'm glad those doctors walked out. Not only was it not *unprofessional* that they did so. It's a show of professional ethics that they did. We've let too many things pass over the last few years, not wanting to rock the boat or offend anybody or "seem too political." Enough.
Those saying that walking out of a whitecoat ceremony to protest a vocally anti-abortion speaker is "unprofessional" are the same people who help anti-abortion people get and maintain positions of power. "Professionalism" maintains status quo which never serves the oppressed.
