So glad she’s home.
“I am not a traitor. I am not a spy. I am somebody who only acted out of love for what this country stands for.” Reality Winner explains why she leaked to the media classified information on Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. cbsn.ws/3B9UxQo

The forces were always there but this latest aberrational chapter began in the 1980's with Reagan's presidency and Koch Brothers money. The Republicans started it but no Democratic president has stopped it. Corporatists now have total control of Repubs, too much control of Dems.

It’s the 11th hour but it’s not midnight yet. Churchill said you can always count on Americans to do the right thing after they have exhausted every other option. We often get there late but when we do get there we slam it like nobody’s business. We’re going to get there soon.

Exactly. Those forces have always been there but in the 1980s they came on with a massive onslaught from which we have not yet recovered.

Al Gore’s running mate would not have been making a decision about an Iraq War if Gore had won; the very idea of that war would never have been brought up because Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. Gore would’ve been a profound environmental president. No one can doubt that.

Corporate profit maximization having replaced democracy as our governing principle, we are sacrificing our freedom, the health of our planet and quite possibly the survival of our species.

You say that as though it would’ve been a bad thing. There would have been no Iraq war. Nor would we be dealing with the devastating realities of climate change that we are experiencing now. 2020 election result was one of the biggest tragedies in American history.

One day the American people are going to rise up against this.
$2.3 billion for climate breakdown, $800 billion for the military.

You’re running against Bernie Sanders why…? So people won’t have universal healthcare or access to education? So the rich can get more opportunities and the poor get more and more squeezed? So the environment can slowly implode?

One and four American children are food insecure. 2.5 million of our children are homeless. Surely the women of America could do better than the hyenas. 3/3
