Curious. What do you call hyper regulation? Minimum safety standards?

Inch by inch, election cycle by election cycle, activism upon activism, effort by effort, until one day we hit a critical mass and the wall will fall.

Exactly. Even the most tender mother has to say "No" sometimes.

If we "fight" them, we will lose. Our victory lies in overcoming their influence. It's a different paradigm that will lead to the only true fundamental change.

Insurance, Big Pharma, Big Ag, Big Food, Big Chem, gun manufacturers, Big Oil, defense contractors: our corporate aristocracy. They get their short term profits first. Then, whatever crumbs are left are dropped down from their economic Mt. Olympus to the struggling serfs below.

Our status quo is a corporatist machine that puts the US govt at the service of huge multinational corporate conglomerates. The corruption at this point is systemic. The status quo will not disrupt itself. Only an intervention by the people will fundamental alter the pattern.

I disagree! Corporations should demonstrate ethical responsibility. They should treat not only shareholders but also workers, community & environment as equal stakeholders. Making shareholders its only stakeholders has turned capitalism into a weapon against the people.

I don’t think we do nothing. Millions try but the effort meets extraordinary institutional resistance. Abolitionists met resistance, suffragettes met resistance, civil rights movement met resistance yet they ultimately prevailed. So will we.
