Isn’t the point though that it’s true? You couldn’t have known then that you should invest in those companies, but we absolutely knew that we should be investing in green energy and mass transit. Big Oil etc resisted it

Carter put solar panels on the top of the WH; Reagan’s first act was to take them down. If we’d gone green when Carter first wanted,if we had hi-speed rail &other forms of mass transit the way we should, none of this whoredom for oil & desecration of the planet would be happening

There are many things that could do that such as expanding Medicare & cancelling the college loan debt. Those two things alone could make the high gas prices easier to absorb for millions of Americans. People wouldn’t have to decide between gasoline & insulin if insulin were free
