We can’t keep thinking that way. We have to win the struggle inch by inch, election by election, moment of moral persuasion by moment of moral persuasion.

What makes you think we don’t get that? This isn’t about convincing people who will never be convinced. This is about motivating people who are already convinced but feeling so beaten down there’s a chance they’d give up the fight.
