Felons who hurt innocent people do belong in prison. Hundreds of thousands of people incarcerated in the US however do not fit anything near that description. And your taxes pay for all kinds of things that make other people's life better, as well as other people's life worse.

When Republicans are in power they run through every stop sign & red light to get where they want. When Democrats are in power they sit a while at stop signs to take in the view & don’t go through green lights because they’re probably turning yellow soon.
