Thanks @CapehartJ for having me on your show this morning.
“Democrats have had opportunities over the last few years to codify women’s reproductive rights. President Obama had said he was going to make it part of his legislative priorities… but he chose not to.” @marwilliamson on abortion rights #SundayShow

The real history of Mother’s Day is far more than brunch and flowers. It was mothers of fallen soldiers from both North and South in the Civil War, committing to a day dedicated to the creation of world peace. peacealliance.org/history-of…

The tension between the two won’t be able to sustain itself. It will have to fall in one direction or the other.

What stands before us is either the fall of Rome or the birth of a new world. Each of us in our own way helps determine which one it will be.

She was right when she warned us about Trump and she’s right in her warning about this.

In the November 2008 elections, the Democratic Party increased its majorities in both chambers (including - when factoring in the two Democratic caucusing independents - a brief filibuster-proof 60-40 supermajority in the Senate).

Obama said in his campaign he was going to do it. Everyone has known for a long time that it needed to be codified to be secure. Repubs certainly weren’t going to but Dems have had several opportunities. I have a strong feeling that if men got pregnant this would’ve been handled.
