JD Vance says pregnancy through rape is "inconvenient" for women, but those women should still be forced to carry the pregnancy and if they don't they should be punished criminally. #ohsen

I support @DavidSegalRI because of the many years he's spent opposing monopolies and militarism - and making government work for everyday people. I encourage you to follow and support him too. secure.actblue.com/donate/da…

Does he realize how many countries whose societies are doing much better than ours are doing just that?

Because he’s wonderful.
I'll be on the floor of U.S. Senate TONIGHT at 8pm ET to talk about why we must end the filibuster and protect the constitutional right to have an abortion.

Absolutely! See “Testament of Hope.” This wasn’t about him being “a gentleman”; non-violence is about profound forbearance and political sophistication.

The more I read history the more I realize how little is actually new. Our political struggles today involve the same forces, even the same language, as in the 1930s etc. The present is often so arrogant towards the past when in fact there is usually so much to learn from it.

He did say riots are the language of the unheard, but the last thing he ever did was to call for them. It wasn’t the riots after his death but the nonviolent power of his life that caused his success. He was alive for the Civil Rights Act and the Voting Rights Act in ‘64 and ‘65.

MLK would disagree with you. His entire life was testament to the power of non-violence. Violence was perpetated against him, to be sure, but the refusal of the civil rights movement to retaliate with violence was why it ultimately succeeded and prevailed.

An essential ingredient of nonviolent political philosophy is the “alignment of means and end”; the idea that the end is inherent in the means, therefore the struggle is to achieve within ourselves the conditions of peace & ethics we wish to see prevail in the world. #Nonviolence

A majority of people do not support that agenda. Currently, due to various forms of voter manipulation, a minority opinion in the United States dominates public policy.

When the tax system is fair and corporations are regulated appropriately, then yes. But neither is now true.
