This is what we’re facing now.
Here is Louisiana’s new fetal personhood bill—which House Republicans just voted out of committee 7–2—making abortion a crime of homicide “from the moment of fertilization” and allowing prosectors to charge patients with murder. legiscan.com/LA/text/HB813/i…

Brilliant.
.@amazonlabor President Chris Smalls (@Shut_downAmazon) to @LindseyGrahamSC: "It's a workers issue. We are the ones who are suffering in the corporations that you're talking about...And you should listen, because we do represent your constituents as well." #NotMeUs

Congress can end the filibuster and codify Roe V Wade right now. They can, and they should. #CodifyNow

I have healthy boundaries and I know what works for me too. There have still been times when people telling me to get over myself, to have greater perspective and to toughen up has been compassionate and supportive and what I needed at the time.

The opposite is the case. And what are you thinking would happen if we just didn’t vote? That would just move things more quickly in the worst direction.

Who first came up with the idea that Dems would do better imitating Repubs as opposed to providing the American people with a strong contrasting alternative - and why should they still be in office? Primaries are when we have a chance to change the game. Candidatesummit.com

3rd ranking Democratic leadership flies to Texas to support the pro-life candidate after flying to Cleveland to defeat the progressive candidate. They like to say the left is trying to highjack the party; the truth is, they did.
Rep. Jim Clyburn, the 3rd ranking House Dem, stumped for Henry Cuellar today in San Antonio. Defending his support of Cuellar — the lone anti-abortion Democrat in the House — Clyburn said there can't be a political "litmus test" to be a Democrat. texastribune.org/2022/05/04/…

So much for of the people, by the people and for the people. With this crowd that’s just words.
Bernie Sanders gave Senate Democrats a layup and they took the ball and passed it to the Chamber of Commerce.

Different circumstances call for different attitudes, obviously. But this is a moment in our culture when it feels to me like we need to coddle our pain a bit less at times. With our democracy as well as our planet pretty literally on fire, we've got to summon our strength now.

I hear you, but there are times when the most loving thing is to support someone - including ourselves - in claiming our strength even when we don't think we have it in us. Sometimes that's the truest form of support.

To you it does. To some people it's the reminder they need, in the same way that it has helped me at times to be reminded not to wallow. We all need to just be listened to at certain times, and at other times to be supported in standing tall. Life is all of that.

True. It's understanding that point where processing turns into spewing and working through something can turn into self-indulgence.

If no one ever honored your feelings at all, I can understand how that would be true.

Obviously. But the people who know that tweet is meant for them know who they are.
