Yep.
As Democratic Party leadership condemns the SCOTUS ruling, a reminder that Nancy Pelosi, Steny Hoyer, and Jim Clyburn are all endorsing anti-choice Henry Cuellar in his primary against @JCisnerosTX in #TX28. Clyburn is doing a campaign rally in San Antonio with Cuellar tomorrow.

We’ve already heard from the conservative wing of SCOTUS. I hope we hear from Democrats today about plans to end the filibuster, codify Roe v. Wade and expand the court if necessary to override this travesty of justice. Their hands aren’t tied; their spines just need to be strong

That’s it?? No plans about what you’re going to do now?

There are many Republican women out there just as upset about this as Democratic ones. Democrats should run with that hard.

Democrats in power have had more than enough time to codify abortion rights; blaming this on or shifting the responsibility to voters is ridiculous. It's absolutely about filibuster, size of court or whatever else needs to be done to stop this attack on women's freedom.

Absolutely. Unacceptable.
Democrats are not powerless here. Abolish the filibuster and codify Roe v. Wade as the law of the land. Inaction is absolutely unacceptable.

A law telling a woman what she can and cannot do with her uterus is definitely government overreach.

The overturning of Roe v. Wade now appears imminent. This will rob us of our fundamental freedoms and rights. My opponent Don Davis voted with Republicans to restrict access to abortion and defund planned parenthood. Election day is May 17th. Freedom is on the ballot.

I don’t want to hear one Democrat whine or fundraise or talk about how the Republicans are big bad meanies today. I want to hear how they’re going to use their power to codify and protect reproductive rights. I don’t want their sympathy; I want their battle plans.

WHY WE NEED HER
Protecting abortion rights is not a midterm pitch—Democrats have the power now. We have the majority in Congress and we have the White House. Instead of drafting fundraising emails tonight, our elected leaders should be in DC voting to codify Roe & getting rid of the filibuster.

My father used to say you have to take the good with the bad. In the midst of one of the most sobering developments in modern US history, today there’s an election that could bring a brilliant American voice into Congress - and boy do we need her now! Good luck @ninaturner

“Interesting” is too kind.
Sending out a fundraising email literally 12 hours before polls open is an interesting way to endorse

Thus the “haunted in the middle of the night” part, when such conscious decisions are confronted with the weight of conscience and innate inner knowing.

I just love it when men tell me how women feel.

I don’t know which is worse, the way Republicans abuse power or the way Democrats refuse to use it when they have it.

I wonder if certain Democratic ex-presidents aren’t sometimes haunted in the middle of the night thinking “Damn I should’ve done this” or “Damn I should’ve done that.“ Like maybe tonight.

Not surprised at all. But I still hear people say “Yeah his tweets were bad but his policies were good.”
While demonstrators were filling the streets surrounding the White House following the death of George Floyd, Trump complained: “Can't you just shoot them? Just shoot them in the legs or something?” axios.com/mark-esper-book-tr…
