Private prisons, health insurance companies, big pharmaceutical companies, defense contractors and student loan companies share a business model: profit maximization increases with human despair. Gotta fix that.

Should we not legalize cannabis because all those people who spent (and are spending) years in prison for it will feel "Well why did I have to serve time then?"

3/ Forgiving a $1.5T student loan debt will put money in the pockets of everyday people and decrease income inequality. THAT is why all the propaganda against it. It has nothing to do with money, but with power - which is why the student loan system was created to begin with.

2/2017 $2T tax cut where 83 cents of every dollar went to the wealthiest corporations and individuals will never pay for itself, and only increased income inequality.

1/ Just to be clear, more people educated means more people making money means a more expanded economy for everyone. More people shackled with loans means less money circulating and a more constricted economy for everyone.

I'm not talking about the brave men and women in our military. People in uniform are TOLD what to do; it wasn't they who decided to bomb Vietnam, invade Iraq or stay 15 years too long in Afghanistan. That was civilian politicians. If you don't know that, you should.

Shocking to me how many people say "Absolutely not!" about their tax dollars paying for someone else being educated, but didn't seem to have too much of a problem with their tax dollars paying to bomb someone else to smithereens. What do you think our tax dollars go towards now??

The idea that I suffered therefore you should suffer too, when the truth of the matter is that neither of you should have ever had to suffer since financial institutions were just making billions of dollars off your suffering, is a feeling I don’t understand. #CancelStudentDebt

Deeply concerning.
The former federal judge who foiled Trump’s attempted coup in 2020, noting that to be “forewarned is to be forearmed,” lays out how democracy’s enemies plan to seize power in 2024 — regardless of how most people vote. You owe it to yourself to read this! cnn.com/2022/04/27/opinions/…

I don’t know how Dems go into the midterms without accomplishing this.
A vial of insulin costs drug companies $10 to make, but families pay an average of $683 a month for it. It’s ridiculous. That’s why I’m fighting to cap the cost of this lifesaving drug at $35 a month. I urge Congress to send a bill to my desk.
