There's definitely more than one point of view, many legitimate. The situation isn't simple. But our transgressions in the past shouldn't be used to justify neglecting the survival needs of Ukrainian people in the present. Millions of innocent people aren't a political football.

I want equal & equally robust support for the human & political rights of the Palestinians and the legitimate security concerns of the state of Israel. That is not an "anti-equality" lens; it is a "pro-equality" lens.

It’s not one country versus another country anymore. It’s ruthless militarism (whatever country perpetrates it) versus the yearning of the human heart.
Citizens in 53 cities throughout Russia have hit the streets to protest the bloodshed brought on by war planners in their grand palaces. Not easy, but ordinary people with courage can stop imperialist wars - think Vietnam.

The thing is, there are two distinctly different ways of looking at this. I believe that this is the time to take a stand and I support the Ukrainians in doing so. On the other hand I totally understand your thinking otherwise. There is risk either way.

Clearly I disagree. I don't call you an idiot for thinking otherwise, by the way. Both takes on that issue carry weight, and honorable people simply disagree about it with respect.

There is a legitimate and an illegitimate use of military force. Supporting the Ukrainians in the defense of their country is not "war-mongering." It's *because* someone understands that, that a criticism of military adventurism such as that in Iraq and Afghanistan carries weight
