She’s absolutely, tragically correct.
For years, #Assange has been denied his liberty and his family life. Why? Why is a publisher being silenced in the UK's harshest prison on remand for years? Open societies protect media workers from the revenge of those they exposed, they don't jail them on their behalf.

What he can do is use the power of the presidency to greater advantage. He could declare a national medical emergency and extend Medicare to everyone, and he could cancel the college loan debt. He doesn’t need Congress for those things.

Someone over there had to know this. Apparently they didn’t care…
BREAKING: Outraged to learn that Biden has named @Chevron lawyer Jennifer Rearden to be a federal judge. She was paid millions at @gibsondunn to help jail me, attack Indigenous peoples, and cover up a massive oil spill in the Amazon. Biden must align with Planet Earth. Corrupt.

The president is *not* “right in the middle of where the country is.” Poll after poll shows Americans want Medicare4All and substantial cancellation of the college loan debt.
.@JoeNBC: "Why is it that it seems time and time again the president's overreached, moved too far left, and has not been able to bring those final two senators home?" @WHCOS Ron Klain: "Well first of all I think the president is right in the middle of where the country is ..."

Huge fan of Ady Barkan. Hoping California will do the right thing here...
Sharing my testimony again for #AB1400 Calcare as this bill reaches its last hearing before it can go to a full #CALeg vote. The key decision-makers are Chair @ChrisHoldenNews and Speaker @Rendon63rd. Will they show the leadership that California needs?

I appreciate Senators complaining about 10 Afghans killed in August, but we needed way more of them complaining about hundreds of thousands of Afghans killed - for what, as it turns out, other than making money for MIC? - over the last 10-20 years. mariannewilliamson.substack.…
A day after the Times published declassified drone video of a botched strike that killed 10 Afghan civilians last August, 11 senators and 39 representatives, led by Sens. Warren and Murphy, wrote to Biden demanding policy overhauls nytimes.com/2022/01/20/us/po…

What he said, voicing the pain of over thirty million Americans. America should be ashamed of itself.

Universal healthcare is a life or death question for the working poor. It’s been life or death for my family. I’m not sharing our grief for clout. This pain is a reality of growing up poor in America. No matter how much we try, the poverty follows us and our loved ones.

Government funded healthcare is not government RUN healthcare. Taking out a loan to get an education is not a "spending spree." And govt sure as hell should mandate a min wage - in fact it already does. It just needs to be higher.

I disagree. If he did those things, people would show up and vote for his party in 2022.

.@POTUS said today that he wants to get out of the WH more this year and listen to the "experts." Good God, just listen to the people. Tens of millions want health care, cancelled college debt, higher min wage, UBI & some sense that someone in DC even cares that they are drowning
