NEW: Warrior Met Coal execs got bonuses this year while the striking miners struggled to afford Christmas gifts for their kids. But we visited Alabama with @GrimKim & saw an incredible outpouring of support for the miners—and their families—who have been on strike since April 1.

A real treasure has passed from our midst. Joan Didion’s work is an inspiration to anyone who ever wanted to write, emotionally raw and brilliant at the same time. May she Rest In Peace.🙏🏻 nytimes.com/2021/12/23/books…

Billions of people on the planet would argue you don’t need ethics to know bombing people is a bad idea, you just need to understand karma. Both are correct.

Hello.
Canceling all student debt would: ⬆️jobs by 4.4 million over the first 5 years ⬆️home ownership by 300,000 a year ⬆️GDP by up to $108 billion a year ⬇️the racial wealth gap from 12:1 to 5:1 1 person has the ability to cancel all student debt: President Biden. Let's get it done.

A “government of the people, by the people & for the people” would have Medicare4All, free college, cancel the college loan debt & raise the minimum wage. A govt that does none of those things is a “govt of a few of the people, by a few of the people and for a few of the people.”

Quite to the contrary, karma is simply the law of cause-and-effect. It’s inviolable and unalterable, which is why there *is* so much tragedy.

The reason some people laugh at the idea of karma is because deep inside they know that if it exists then we’re in trouble. Better to know that it does exist, that we are in trouble, and that the time to turn around is now.

I love this. So well put.
If student debt is canceled people will get married, make babies, purchase homes, take a vacation, quit that sucky job and live in their purpose, eat more veggies, grow a garden, adopt a puppy, give more to charity, be less miserable…and rich people will still get richer.
