Overall, military spending accounts for about 1/2 of the fed government's total discretionary spending, while programs for helping instead of killing are on fiscal life support for local, state & national government agencies

Read this thread.
I had an ankle fracture surgery cancel this morning because he couldn’t afford his deductible. This guy will never run or walk without pain again. He will never work construction again. And he has insurance. That he pays for. And he still can’t afford his necessary surgery.

Last year, while nearly 1 out of 4 Americans could not afford to fill the prescriptions written by their doctors, 6 of the largest drug companies made tens of billions in profits. That is absolutely insane.
The time to take on the greed of the pharmaceutical industry is now.
